The Wilson-Gray YMCA, 444 Albany Avenue, in Hartford, is partnering with It’s A Gee Thang Barber Shop to offer free back-to-school haircuts for pre-school through high school-aged kids on Monday, Aug. 24 — but there’s a catch. Kids must be willing to read a book while getting clipped. Bring a favorite story or choose from a selection provided by the Hartford Public Library.
