Julie Durda joined 7 NEWS in November 2007, as weather anchor for South Florida's #1 morning show, Today in Florida and 7 NEWS at Noon.
A native of Sacramento, California, Julie joins WSVN from KPHO-TV (CBS) in Phoenix, Arizona where she was a weather anchor and traffic reporter. She started her career in broadcasting in 2003, as a traffic and feature reporter at KXTV-TV in Sacramento.
 
Julie is a certified meteorologist. She received the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society, in Dec 2009. She has been a member of the AMS and National Weather Association since 2006. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2009 with a degree in Broadcast Meteorology.
An avid runner, Julie frequently runs half marathons, and is a big football fan. Julie supports many charitable causes including the Y-ME Breast Cancer Organization, Habitat for Humanity, and the Boys and Girls Club.
