Samantha Solomon made headlines in New York in 2005 for taking a 17-year-old student to her Manhattan apartment for early morning trysts. The high school guidance counselor, 29 at the time, began an affair after taking the student shopping at Macys and out to dinner. Solomon agreed to resign to avoid disciplinary charges, then moved to Florida and got a job as guidance counselor at Miami Park Elementary School. Her past caught up with her last year, when Florida education officials revoked her teaching license for lying on her application and for the inappropriate relationship with the student in New York.
