Art Institute of Weston personel (left) Miguel Escorihuela and art restorator Pablo Cano install one of several paintings in the new multipurpose sanctuary at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church Thursday morning as the finishing touches are put on the new sanctuary and surrounding grounds in Weston. Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church raised money for more than a decade to build the first catholic church in Weston and move out of their rented cafeteria space. The new church, located at 2501 South Post Road in Weston, will open Sunday February 16 and will be dedicated by Archbishop Thomas Wenski. The closest Catholic church is Saint Bonaventure located in Davie.
