Although celebrated as a sculptor whose works are included in the Smithsonian Institution, Gerson Frank may have been most proud of being a teacher. From his garage studio in Plantation, he taught anybody who wanted to learn. Mr. Frank died at home on Sept. 3, 2013 at the age of 90. His best-known works are a series of bronze heads of Indian chiefs. Two of those works are in the permanent collection at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian in Washington.
