What's more frightening? A scary movie or being left alone in a motel room all by yourself when you're only 7 years-old? Last Saturday afternoon, deputies responded to a 911 disconnect at the Rodeway Inn in Kissimmee, according to a news release from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. When deputies arrived at motel room, a 7-year-old boy answered the door. He told deputies his mom, Natalie Figueroa, along with her boyfriend had left him alone to go see a movie, according to the report. Deputies noted that there were open beer cans within reach of the boy. After contacting Mom, she indicated that she had gone to the movies with her boyfriend and left her son at the motel because the boy did not want to see a scary movie, deputies said. The 28-year-old Poinciana mom also told lawmen that she had thought her boyfriend's brother was watching her son. Figueroa and her boyfriend were both arrested and charged with Child Neglect, according to records.
