Stonewall Library

Ted Emery and Bob and Hal Bernier-Peterson tour the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLCUL000223" title="Stonewall Library" href="/topic/arts-culture/libraries/stonewall-library-PLCUL000223.topic">Stonewall Library</a> and Archives during its grand opening in the ArtServe building in Fort Lauderdale. The library is the largest independent circulating library of gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gender material in the U.S. Emery, one of Stonewall's original fundraisers, was instrumental in keeping the library alive during its controversial days when then-Ft. Lauderdale <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT007440" title="Jim Naugle" href="/topic/politics/government/jim-naugle-PEPLT007440.topic">Mayor Jim Naugle</a> opposed the library moving into a city building. Library is located at 1300 East Sunrise Boulevard
Fort Lauderdale.
