Good chance of storms over weekend

There's a good chance of storms over the weekend, the result of an unsettled atmosphere and lots of tropical moisture. Much of South Florida saw storms and showers earlier today.

For the rest of the afternoon, the South Florida's Friday forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s and evening readings in the upper 70s. There is a 60 percent chance of showers and storms.

The rain chance remains at 50 to 70 percent through Monday.

Central Florida's Friday forecast: Partly sunny with highs in the low to mid 90s, lows in the mid 70s and a 50 percent chance of showers and storms. The rain chance remains at 40 to 50 percent over the weekend.
