Deputies said Monty Ray Grow, a Redington Beach man, left a three-year-old girl in the car unattended while he went into a Diamond Dolls, a Clearwater strip club, on Sunday night, according to a news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
The child's grandparents were already on the scene when deputies arrived.
As deputies were investigating the report, the 41-year-old man, a former Florida Gator who also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in '95 and the Kansas City Chiefs in '94, according to ESPN, reportedly ran up to the car and admitted to leaving the child unattended, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The child was uninjured.
Grow was arrested for child abuse, records show.
