This dude give new meaning to the proverbial beer run.
But afterall, running from cops is hard work, especially in this heat.
So why not take a break and have a brewski or two?
An alert neighbor called the cops after seeing an intruder enter a Lighthouse Point townhouse at 2:00 a.m. Sunday while the homeowners were out of town, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
When cops arrived the man, later identified as Andrew Fatzinger, took off running.
After cops spotted Fatzinger walking a few blocks away from the break-in, the 21-year-old Port St. Lucie man was on the run again -- a beer run, that is, according to the report.
A deputy in the helicopter noted that Fatzinger jumped onto someone's patio, entered into the home and then reappeared running again while carrying two bottles of Heineken beer, the report said.
A K-9 eventually caught up with Fatzinger and took a bite out of crime.
