Growing up in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100102600659" title="East Islip" href="/topic/us/new-york/suffolk-county-%28new-york%29/islip-%28suffolk-new-york%29/east-islip-PLGEO100100102600659.topic">East Islip</a>, N.Y., she couldn't wait for the weekly food section to arrive in the daily newspaper.
