South Florida Folk Festival - Jan. 18 and 19

Guitarists, bassists, violinists and singers will transform the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park to a stage in the Folk Festival, presented by the Broward Folk Club. More than 40 local and national artists will perform live, including Jack Williams, Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen, Zoe Lewis, Dave Nachmanoff, Gathering Time, Bill and Kate Isles, and Passerine.<br><br> The festival also offers workshops on fingerstyle guitar, vocal harmony, song writing, writing political songs, among others. Judges will choose three winners for a national songwriting competition, and amateur musicians can show off their skills in the jam area. Food trucks and arts and crafts vendors will also join the fun.
