The Museum of Discovery and Science is hosting a weekend SkateFest pegged to its new skateboarding exhibit, "Tony Hawk RAD Science." No, Hawk won¿t be there, but the man who invented the Ollie trick will: Hollywood's Alan "Ollie" Gelfand, who may pull off a half-pipe demo during a two-day festival on Saturday and Sunday. The exhibit will feature vertical ramps, a display dedicated to board engineering and science sections exploring weight, mass and centripetal force. A Downtown Demolition Skate Contest will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Himmarshee, where skaters 9 to adult can compete in various categories. $12-$14 for admission, $20-$30 for contest entry. 954-467-6637 or Mods.org.
