Graham Wood Drout, the big bandleader behind Miami swamp-rock-blues act Iko-Iko, is in town for a jam session at the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The venue is the home base of Chrystal Hartigan's Songwriters Showcase, the promoter's soul-bearing forum for local musicmakers to sing in the round, and is a location not far from where local players mobilized last summer to sing tributes to a then-ailing Drout. The magnanimous but humble bluesman, who sings of hurricane floods and voodoo, plays on a bill with session vocalist Johnne Sambataro and music producer Tom Jackson. $10 at the door. 7:30-9 p.m. 954-462-0222 or BrowardCenter.org.
