Wednesday: SunFest in West Palm Beach

When Lollapalooza '94 - whoops, SunFest 2013 - comes to the riverfront along West Palm Beach, the five-day festival will be accompanied by a host of mainstays that reached the height of their popularity in the previous millennium: Reel Big Fish, Smashing Pumpkins, the Offspring, Barenaked Ladies, Jacksonville's Yellowcard and Gainesville's Less Than Jake. But no matter: Scattered among the three stages on the waterfront this year will also be the diverse sounds of burning rock guitarist Gary Clark Jr., accompanied by the Southern-rock harmonies of Chris Robinson and his brood of Black Crowes and reggae vet Jimmy Cliff. The first-night bill on Wednesday opens at 5:15 with Shatterglass, Aan and the aforementioned Pumpkins on the Ford Stage, and Roadkill Ghost Choir and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros on the Tire Kingdom Stage. Elsewhere, the BB&T Juried Fine Art and Craft show will feature more than 140 national artists of multiple disciplines starting Friday. $37 for one-day tickets, $69 for festival pass, free for children 5 or younger. 800-786-3378 or SunFest.com.
