Notorious bank robber John Dillinger, who was linked to the murder of seven police officers and three federal agents during his yearlong crime spree, was gunned down outside Lincoln Park's Biograph theater after seeing gangster flick "Manhattan Melodrama." Dillinger was born in Indianapolis, so he was just another annoying Chicago tourist.
