“The Walking Dead” and “Workalholics,” two shows you’re not likely to hear mentioned together again, have earned third seasons, their networks announced Tuesday.
After record high ratings for the first two Season 2 episodes of “The Walking Dead,” AMC said the zombie-apocalypse drama will return next year. The Oct. 16 Season 2 premiere lured 7.3 million total viewers in its first airing, and more than 11 million total in the three airings that night.
Meanwhile, Comedy Central picked up the office comedy “Workaholics,” which stars Evanston native Anders Holm. He, Blake Anderson and Adam Devine play slacker friends who work together—but mostly play together. According to Comedy Central, the current second season is the top-rated TV series at 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the 18- to 24-year-old male and 18- to 34-year-old male demographics.
