Homaro Cantu and his team at Moto's next-door neighbor recently launched an a la carte Sunday brunch (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) featuring dishes such as smoked salmon with a potato croquette, sunny-side-up egg and grilled scallions and funky brunch cocktails such as a spin on bubble tea with citrus juice, elderflower liqueur and Campari pearls.

We're thanking the doughnut gods that Labriola Baking Company's Rich Labriola partnered with Stan Berman to bring his L.A.-based doughnut shop to Wicker Park. Pistachio old-fashioneds, buttermilk bars and and peanut butter-banana pockets await.

The Aberdeen Tap crew opened this West Town cocktail bar in former Clutch space at the corner of its namesake intersection -- Grand & Ogden -- a month ago. Expect craft and classic cocktails, plus wine, spirits and draft microbrews. With indoor seating for approximately 60 people, G&O also serves drinking-friendly food and plans to debut brunch and a patio this spring.

Yes, this Wicker Park taco and whiskey spot is perennially hot, but we'd be remiss not to tell you about the bar's new, proprietary amaro, distilled in collaboration with Few Spirits. Bourbon-based rather than made with a neutral spirit or fortified wine, the amaro is available neat ($7) and as a shot ($6) -- or ask one of the bartenders to use it in a cocktail. Fernet fans, this one's for you.
