Whatever you think of Tyler Perry, what's not up for debate is the actor's inability to appear tough in the misogynistic, seemingly unfinished "Alex Cross." Thanks to Perry, detective Dr. Alex Cross becomes a guy who's either in desperate need of a nap, a cop who probably did nap through the academy or a rage-filled revenge-seeker who never considers the moral dimensions of anything. He hilariously receives police work advice from his mom, who's supportive enough to never say the truth, and what someone should have told Perry: "Maybe you're just not cut out for this."
