It's obvious that indie game developer Michael Ryan has spent a lot of time in Chicago sports bars. His studio's first game, "High Five HERO!" takes place in the kind of bro-tastic tavern found on just about every corner in Lakeview or Lincoln Park, where the high-fives and chest bumps flow like cheap beer during the big game. The goal of the game is simple: Guide an enthusiastic patron around the bar while slapping the hand of every likeminded person you can before running out of energy. Avoid the opposing team's angry fans, and collect beers and shots for bonuses. Like the real-life Wrigleyville bar scene, the thrills of "High Five HERO!" are fleeting, but at 99 cents it's even cheaper than a PBR.
