Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita .5 stars out of 4 OK, visceral thrills probably are too much to ask from a game called "Farming Simulator," but if "The Sims" can make virtual household chores and working an office job at least halfway compelling, you'd think it'd be possible with raising livestock and crops. This version of "Farming Simulator" instead opts to drop you into a tractor and asks you to drive slowly in a lot of straight lines -- to plow the field, sow the seeds, harvest the crop and cultivate the soil. That monotony is broken up by an occasional, slightly windier drive to market to sell your goods. It's a "game" that should be put out to pasture. What's next -- "Watching Paint Dry: The Game"?
