Oct. 26: 'Cloud Atlas'

Granted, directors Tom Tykwer ("Run Lola Run") and Andy and Lana Wachowski ("The Matrix") have plenty of visual skills. Yet they can also do junk like "Three" and "Speed Racer." Does anyone actually think "Cloud Atlas" looks good, as opposed to just a long, overstuffed movie whose trailer foolishly opens on the irritating Jim Sturgess ("Across the Universe," "One Day") and seems to incorporate the same "everything is connected" attitude that went out of style after Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ("Babel") drove it into the ground? Hanks, Berry, Sarandon, Broadbent; great actors who are not safe from an epic flop.
