Woman charged with theft for unauthorized use of bank rebate card

A Westminster woman is charged with credit card theft and related charges for allegedly using a bank rebate card issued in another person's name without permission.

Jenee Michelle Frebertshauser, 34, of the unit block of Hook Road, is charged with credit card theft, theft less than $1,000 and two counts of use of another person's credit card, according to charging documents.

Frebertshauser is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center on $7,500 bond, according to electronic court files.

On July 21, a Carroll County Sheriff's Office detective met with the alleged victim who said that Frebertshauser used a $250 bank rebate card which was issued in the victim's name without authorization, according to the documents.

The rebate card was sent to the alleged victim's previous residence, which was now occupied by Frebertshauser, on June 26, according to the documents.

Video surveillance allegedly showed Frebertshauser making unauthorized purchases with the card at the Target store in Westminster on June 26 and the Royal Farms in Eldersburg on July 2, according to the documents.

An arrest warrant was issued for Frebertshauser on July 26 and she was arrested on July 29, according to electronic court files.
