Heating system issue leads to report of fire at Arbutus Elementary School

Among the 62 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received for medical and fire-rescue service Nov. 27 to Dec. 4 were the following:

1300 Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus Elementary School, 5:27 p.m. Dec. 2. Crews from the Arbutus, Lansdowne and Violetville volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a school fire in Arbutus find an overheated HVAC unit.

Sulphur Spring Road at Carville Avenue, 3:22 p.m. Dec. 2. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in Arbutus and transported one person with non-life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.

Gun Road, 700 block, 7:00 a.m. Dec. 1. Crews responded to the report of a person having fallen in Arbutus and transported one seriously injured person to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

5200 Southwestern Blvd, Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department, 2:56 p.m. Nov. 27. Crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident in Arbutus and found property damage but no injuries.

5912 Baltimore National Pike, Chuck E. Cheese, 10:46 a.m. Nov. 27. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Westview career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with injury in Westview. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
