Where: 6040 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando (between Oak Ridge and Lancaster roads). Contact: 407-854-3330 The lowdown: Walk through the door of Woodlands in south Orlando and into the vegetarian kitchens of southern India. Unless you are familiar with dosai, uthappam, pullaos and curries, the 81-item menu is daunting at first. If it's lunch time, the buffet is a bargain at less than $10, and it offers an excellent sampling of the menu. The price includes masala dosai, thin rice crepes stuffed with chopped potatoes and onions. Woodlands is part of a small chain of three restaurants with other locations in Charlotte, N.C., and just a few hours drive south of Orlando in the Fort Lauderdale 'burb of Lauder Hill.
