Brandon Wilson was pretty impressed after two straight days of unofficial visits to the UCF campus, and he was even more impressed, he said, the he was offered a scholarship by the "head man himself."
Because Wilson was participating the Rivals Camp Series at Oviedo High on Saturday, he was invited to come out Friday to check out the facilities and then he returned tpo campus Saturday after the camp to chat with head coach George O'Leary.
O'Leary liked what he's seen in the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Wilson, who is ranked No. 9 in the Sentinel's 2015 Central Florida Super60.
"I was talking with the recruiting coach for our area, Coach [Sean] Beckton, and he said, 'The big man wants to offer you a scholarship,' " Wilson said. "And from that point they informed me they were going to offer me a scholarship. It's pretty big, especially considering what they did this past year, even what they've done the past three years.
"I really do like it. For the football players, everything is just right there within a 100-yard radius, so you don't really even have to leave the to go anywhere, and they really do take care of their players."
It's Wilson's sixth offer, the others coming from Mississippi State, Charlotte, South Alabama and Georgia Southern.
