Denise-Marie Ordway, Jeff Kunerth, Steve Hudak and David Breen won in the Single-Topic News, Series or Feature category. According to the judges: "This is a riveting and revelatory series that has made a huge difference and led to changes in how FAMU operates.
"From the narrative account of the night Robert Champion died to the examination of admissions policies at the school, this project sets an example for other papers."
