Orlando Museum of Art has two programs next weekend for guests with special needs. These important programs are free, but participants must register ahead of time by calling the museum.
Here are the details on Art's the Spark, for those with neurological impairments, and Creative Connections, for children with disabilities and other special needs.
• Art's the Spark @ OMA: 10:30-noon. Saturday, Jul 13; Orlando Museum of Art, 2416 N. Mills Ave., Orlando. This interactive touring program is especially designed for those suffering from neurological disabilities, such as Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers. Free program. • Creative Connections: Noon-1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jul 14; Orlando Museum of Art, 2416 N. Mills Ave., Orlando. A program that connects children with disabilities and special needs to art and the world around them. In an environment where there are no wrong questions or answers, this program will engage children's imaginations. Designed with the help of an Advisory Council, this program is offered for students ages 7-22. Free program.
