The HBO drama did score in the ratings Sunday. The 9 p.m. showing drew 7.2 million viewers, becoming the series' second most-watched telecast ever. For the night, "Thrones" had 8.2 million viewers in all.
In Central Florida, the episode was tops for the night with the 18-to-49 age group. The episode drew 62,153 total viewers, and nearly 40,000 of them were in the 18-to-49 age group. The episode was also tops with the local 25-to-54 age group.
The most-watched program Sunday was CBS' "60 Minutes" with 155,660 viewers. Rounding out the top five in total viewers were CBS' "The Mentalist" with 105,698 viewers, ABC's "The Bachelorette" with 80,323, "America's Got Talent" on NBC with 75,241 and "Elementary" on CBS with 73,545.
Favorites of the local 18-to-49 age group were "Game of Thrones" and three series on Fox: "Family Guy," "Cosmos" and "The Simpsons." "The Bachelorette" was No. 5 in those rankings.
In national ratings, "60 Minutes" had 8 million viewers, the night's biggest broadcast. Other top shows on the networks were "America's Funniest Home Videos" on ABC with 5.1 million, "The Bachelorette" with 4.9 million and "The Mentalist" with 4.7 million.
