This week at theme parks: Star Wars Weekends starts, Flower & Garden Fest ends, Madagascar hits Busch Gardens

Special events are coming -- and going -- this week at Orlando-area theme parks and attractions.

+ It's last call all week for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. This year's event has been the first to feature food-and-drink marketplaces and special nighttime lighting for most of the gardens and topiaries. The Flower Power concert series concludes with Starship on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the HGTV speaker will be David Bromstad of "Design Star" and "Color Splash" fame on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The festival, which wraps up Sunday, is included in regular Epcot admission. More info:

+ Star Wars Weekends kicks off Friday at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The event runs at the park for four consecutive Friday-Saturday-Sunday weekends and includes behind-the-scenes shows, character photo opportunities and loads of special merchandise. Special guests from the "Star Wars" universe this weekend include Ray Park (Darth Maul), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) and Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of Captain Rex in the animated TV series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." + A new stage show "Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation" debuts Friday at Busch Gardens in Tampa. The show is at the renovated Stanleyville Theater. More info:
