Delta takes on the '80s in latest in-flight safety video

Delta Air Lines has made a habit in the last couple of years of putting out safety videos that infuse the necessary pre-flight info with a little bit of humor.

The latest, posted to their youtube account on Tuesday at takes on the 1980s with its big hair, headbands and is littered with pop culture references galore.

So look out for cameos from Teddy Ruxpin, Rubik's Cube, ALF and even Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

This is the latest in a series from the airline, which had a funny holiday-themed version put out last fall. You can see that and others on Delta's youtube channel.

The most popular video from Delta, posted in 2008 and with more than 4 million views is a regular, nonfunny in-flight video, but it's full of its own nostalgia like someone using their iPod to play games, with that move we all used to be so adept at...the circular thumb motion. Perhaps that one's most iconic moment is the finger-waving host of the video letting you know it's not OK to smoke. She has her own facebook page: Katherine Lee, Delta In-Flight Safety Girl.

She makes finger-wagging cameos in future videos, including what I shall infer as a child version of her in this 80s version.

It's the most fun you'll have watching any video about pre-flight safety. So thank you for that, Delta.
