The parents of Jonathan Ferrell are starting to wonder if they'll ever get justice for their son's death.
Ferrell, a 24-year-old former Florida A&M University football player, was unarmed when he was shot by a police officer 10 times on Sept. 14 in North Carolina, according to WBTV.
Ferrell was seeking help at a nearby home after getting into a car accident when the woman inside the home called police, The Huffington Post reports. When officers arrived at the scene, Ferrell ran toward them, possibly looking for help. Ferrell was Tasered and then shot by Officer Randall Kerrick.
Kerrick originally faced a voluntary manslaughter charge but on Tuesday, a Mecklenburg County Grand Jury declined to indict and asked the District Attorney for a lesser charge, WBTV reports.
