WHAT: This weekend is the last to see "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," the final show in Orlando Repertory Theatre's 10th season. Based on the novel by Mark Twain, this musical version for young audiences was conceived and written by Ken Ludwig of "Lend Me a Tenor" fame.
As in the novel, Tom matches wits with stern Aunt Polly and takes the adventure of his life with Becky Thatcher and that renegade, Huckleberry Finn. Music and lyrics are by Don Schlitz.
Spencer Morrow stars as Tom, with Bella Muller as Becky and Mark Chandler as Huck. The show is directed by Steve MacKinnon.
The production contains some violence, and is recommended for children age 10 and older.
