The after-hours Halloween event at the Tampa theme park is themed around 13 evils incorporated into its haunted houses and scare zones. Two all-new houses are The Basement (featuring a butcher and a secret recipe) and Death Water Bayou (a voodoo queen and her minions).
A new reservations-required (and extra charge) experience is The Experiment, which turns guests into psychological studies. They must "face fear-inducing elements, from roaches and snakes to needles and darkness," according to a Busch Gardens media release. Experimentees must pay Howl-O-Scream admission, then $50 for this house (Additional guests, up to four, for $10 apiece).
Returning houses (with twists) are Circus of Superstition 3-D, Blood Asylum, Zombie Mortuary, Ultimate Gamble: Reversal of Fortune and Nevermore.
Howl-O-Scream runs for 14 select nights between Sept. 27 and Oct. 26.
Admission is $89, although there are discounts and options including VIP Packages, the Fright Feast dinner buffet, front-of-line passes and multiday passes. For tickets or more information, go to Howloscream.com.
