Florida 26, Miami 3

WHERE: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium THE BUZZ: This wasn't the same Gators team that ended the season on an unprecedented 10-game run. Florida compiled 345 yards of total offense, almost 100 less than their season average. Miami went into the locker room down 9-3 before Florida got it together in the second half. A late field-goal kick by Jonathan Phillips with the game out of reach enraged Miami Coach Randy Shannon. KEY PLAY: A 28-yard catch by wide receiver Carl Moore sparked the first of two late touchdowns. Officials reviewed Moore's acrobatic catch as he barely kept his feet in bounds. STARS: Tight end Aaron Hernandez showed the Gators would be just fine without the injured Cornelius Ingram. Hernandez finished with five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown. STATS: Miami held the ball for more than 31 minutes against the Gators defense. QUOTE: “I'm glad I don't have to hear about it [anymore], that's for sure.” --Gators QB Tim Tebow about beating Miami for the first time since 1985. Stephen M. Dowell, Orlando Sentinel
