Gun control advocates are traitors
To the editor:
Remember an overheard conversation with the Russian leader? If attacked, they will “not” bring muzzleloaders and single-shot rifles, i.e. we cannot defend with lesser rifles.
In every reputable study, results say fewer weapons in law-abiding citizens’ hands equals more crime. The Constitution, unless “torn apart,” guarantees citizens the right to weapons adequate to defend ourselves and our country. The ones wanting to take away our “rights” are naive, in bed with traitors or are part of the new world order.
Feinstein’s proposal is to take weapons from law-abiding citizens, but she exempts the “ruling class.” If you think slavery divided the U.S., get ready. When the conflict starts, which side will you be on — the people in step with the Constitution or the ruling class bent on controlling everything and everyone?
A story that needed to be told
To the editor:
Thank you for printing Judy Ramer’s story. Like her, I’m also on the liver transplant list at UMMC. I was diagnosed with nonalcoholic cirrhosis in 2009. I have had only one liver bleed, which ended with me in ICU in 2011. If it should happen again, I have been told that I will have to have a shunt put in.
Thank you also for educating the public that they, too, can be a liver donor. Whenever I talk to someone about my cirrhosis, they are surprised to hear that the liver can regenerate itself and that I am a nondrinker. My doctors are still trying to find out what happened.
I do not know what Judy is going through, because right now my health is good and my liver has not changed in two years. I will be praying that UMMC calls and tells her they have a match. I wish the best of luck to her and your family.
