FAA fines Colgan Air for not enforcing mandatory rest time for pilots

The Federal Aviation Administration seeked a $153,000 civil penalty against Colgan Air, Inc., alleging that the airline operated 17 flights without giving pilots and flight attendants the mandatory rest period required by law. Colgan has 30 days from receipt of notice of the suit to respond.
