Roman Polanski's extradition rejected

After his arrest on September 26, 2009 for an outstanding warrant for sexual assault charges in the U.S., Polanski was put on house arrest by Swiss authorities for the first half of 2010. On January 22, California Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza filed for Polanksi's extradition, which was rejected by Switzerland on July 12.
