Revitalization efforts bring taste of Italy to Speedway

A taste of italiano is coming to Speedway’s revitalized Main Street.

Lino’s Coffee is opening a new cafe at the Dalara building, making it the coffee maker’s first location in the western hemisphere.

The goal of the new shop is to give customers an authentic Italian experience by offering Italian espresso and coffee drinks, Panini, pasta, salads, specialty sandwiches, gelato, beer and wine.

Lino’s Coffee along with Dalara—the Italian company which provides the chasses for the IndyCar Series--are both from Parma, Itay, so having both of them in the same building seemed to be a perfect fit.

Leaders in the Town of Speedway said the two international companies are adding to the revitalization of Main Street and they are excited they choose Speedway to help the town grow and attract folks not only during the month of May, but all year long.

“Dalara was coup… a lot of places would be happy to have Dalara,” said Scott Harris, Speedway Redevelopment Commission. “We feel like Lino’s is another coup that’s a part of the Italian family that’s coming to Speedway we’re just so happy that this is their first place and this is where it ought to be.”

Lino’s has cafés in 10 different countries and locations all over Italy. Now, you can add Speedway, Ind. to the mix!

Lino’s officially opened at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
