BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — A state wildlife official says an 8-year-old southern Indiana boy died after a four-wheeler he was riding crashed into a dune buggy.
The Herald-Times reports (http://bit.ly/qYEVs5) that Braydn Fox was rushed to IU-Health Bloomington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Sunday evening about an hour after the accident.
Department of Natural Resources spokeswoman Angie Goldman says the boy's 64-year-old grandfather, Dale Hollers, had just climbed a hill in a dune buggy when the boy rear-ended him.
Goldman said the boy suffered "body crushing injuries" in the crash, which occurred in a private wooded area along Indiana 446 in Monroe County. The child was wearing a helmet.
