BREMEN – Today, family, friends and dignitaries gathered to pay their final respects to a former Indiana governor from Bremen.
Visitation was being held for the late Otis “Doc” Bowen, who died last weekend at the age of 95.
Bowen served two terms as governor from 1973 to 1981 before serving as the health and human services secretary under President Reagan.
Visitation is until 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
The funeral is at the church Friday at 11 a.m. The town's population is only about 4,500 people, but 10,000 are expected to show up for the funeral.
