YORK CITY--—
Police in York City use the internet to bust 5 people in a prostitution sting over the weekend. The York City Police Department collaborated the sting Sunday at various locations along on Route 30 through the website www.Backpage.com.Those arrested were:
Kevan Michael Burke, 60, of York
Manuchhr Malekivash, 53, of New York, NY
John Joesph Geoghan III, 43, of Dallastown
Dai M. Pham, 21, of York
Christopher Mark Henkel, 46, of Lancaster.
Backpage.com is similar to Craigslist where people can post online classified-ads. Many online forums regarding Backpage.com have called for the site to eliminate its paid adult services section.
In 2010 Craigslist shut down its paid adult section and banned sexually related advertising in the United States.
