A man was shot early Tuesday morning in the city of Lebanon after leaving a bar. The victim is a 25-year old male from Northern Lebanon Township and is not being named at this time.

The victim stated that he and three friends left the William Penn Bar early Thursday morning and while walking to their vehicle, passed a woman on the street. He admitted that he and his friends made derogatory comments to the woman as they passed.

The men continued to their car but before they could pull away, there was a knock on the window. The victim described a black male, around 5'9", as the male that confronted them about the comments they made to the woman.

The victim stepped out of the car, intending to fight the man, when he pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the upper leg and fled the scene. The victim was driven to a local hospital and treated for the non-life threatening injuries.
