HARRISBURG—The Sheep to Shawl Competition is one of the most popular events at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
Six-member teams have two-and-a-half hours to turn fresh wool into a hand-made shawl.
This is the 31st year for the event that draws five teams from all over the state.
Defending champion team Time Warp from Montour County was the first to turn in its finished shawl.
"I've got to keep up with three professional spinners," Jeff Stambaugh said as he "carded" the wool. Stambaugh uses a special combing device to prepare the wool to be spun and then weaved with a loom.
Time Warp captured first place again this year.
