Cumberland County Woman and Infant Child Found Dead in New Jersey Motel
A gruesome scene Thursday morning at a New Jersey motel, the bodies of a nine-month-old baby girl and her mother were discovered in a bathtub. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case as a murder-suicide.

Egg Harbor Township Police were called to the Econo Lodge Motel on the Black Horse Pike just before 10 a.m. Thursday, after management discovered the two bodies, who were identified as 40 year-old Tracy Marie Moody and her daughter, Isabelle Ann Marie Moody. Authorities say that Moody, who was a mother of five from Boiling Springs, Cumberland County, checked into the motel on Monday and was supposed to leave Wednesday.

A preliminary autopsy revealed that Moody died as a result of a drowning-suicide, and her baby died of asphyxia due to drowning-homicide.
