A man in Carlisle was arrested for the theft of his mother's jewelry. David Peoples, 39, stole three pieces of his mother's jewelry from her home on Friday. Peoples took the jewelry to a nearby jewelry store and sold it for $335.
His mother, Winifred Peoples, 69, noticed the jewelry was missing the next day and asked him where it was and he admitted to selling it. Winifred Peoples reported her son for stealing the jewelry and he turned himself into Carlisle police.
