Police are on the hunt for a man in his 50's or 60's, they say, shot and killed a woman on a sidewalk in Brighton Beach.

The victim has been identified as Alla Kamenev, 65; she was on her way to get her nails done Thursday, before taking off with her husband for what was supposed to be a romantic, two-week vacation to Greece.

According to detectives, the suspect rode up to Kamanev on a red mountain bike at the corner Sea Breeze Avenue and West 2nd Street, and pumped three bullets into her torso at point-blank range.

She died on the way to nearby Coney Island Hospital. Kamenev's husband, Vlad Godin, said he and his wife, were looking forward to what he called a "good retirement."

This is the fifth murder to take place in the Coney Island/Brighton Beach area this year. Meanwhile, police are pouring over surveillance video from the area, hoping to get a closer look at the suspect.
