KEW GARDENS, N.Y. (PIX11)—One man is dead and another was seriously wounded when a man opened fire on them for double parking in Kew Gardens, Queens Thursday night.
The two men sitting inside the double parked car at a small, triangular park near 125th and Austin Streets when the driver of a white commerical van drove onto the street.
The driver of the van did not have enough space to pass their car. A dispute erupted and the driver of the white van opened fire on the two men -- a 25-year-old and a 30-year-old.
The 25-year-old, Roberto Adanes, was shot in the torso and was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital. He was shot just down the block from his home on Austin Street.
The 30-year-old was also shot in the torso and was also transported to Jamaica Hoapital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police are now looking for a white Econoline van with pipes on the top, possibly a plumber's truck, and Connecticut license plates.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
