Weather Advisory: Changes To MTA, NJ Transit

Due to a Winter Weather Advisory downtown D, 2, 3 trains are running local at this time. Downtown A trains are running local from the Broadway-Junction Station to the Euclid Avenue Station. N and Q trains are running local in both directions from the Prince Street Station to the 57th Street-7th Avenue Station. Both directions, no B train service Bedford Park - Brighton Beach, due to winter weather advisory. Both directions 6 trains run local in Bronx, due to winter weather advisory. Bus customers may experience delays, detours or service suspensions on certain routes in the event of significant snowfall. Please allow for additional travel time. All customers are advised to check before traveling for up-to-the-minute service information before starting their trip. Systemwide Cross-Honoring in Effect: To give customers additional travel options during expected winter weather conditions, NJ TRANSIT will offer full systemwide cross-honoring all day Friday, January 21, enabling customers to use their ticket or pass on an alternate travel mode-rail, bus or light rail. For example, customers who normally take the bus from Rutherford to the Port Authority Bus Terminal may use their bus pass on the train from Rutherford to New York Penn Station. Similarly, customers who normally take the bus between Atlantic City and Lindenwold may use the Atlantic City Rail Line instead at no additional charge. Extended Station Hours for Passenger Comfort: All NJ TRANSIT rail station buildings and waiting rooms will remain open extended hours, including evenings and overnight, throughout the storm. Rail Service: NJ TRANSIT plans to operate a regular weekday schedule on Friday, January 21.


Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch has declared a snow emergency beginning at 5 a.m. through 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21.


Alternate Side Parking Regulations are suspended citywide Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, to facilitate snow removal.
