SELDEN, N.Y. (WPIX)—Suffolk County police say a case of graffiti and arson in a Long Island town may be a hate crime.
However, a resident, identified as Alex Robles, who lives in the Selden home, located at 601 Hawkins Road, said he believes the attack stemmed from a "personal vendetta."
Suffolk County police say Robles discovered his Jeep parked in his driveway on fire at 12:30 a.m. and called 911.
An investigation later determined that two swastikas were spray-painted on the garage doors of the home. No injuries were reported.
